Yes, I’m clearly insane; but I made a new header with Photoshop today. See that blood? I did that all by myself, with the help of technology, of course. I love the liquify tool.

Dexterminator Awards Suspended

The last round of awards were fun, but since then there has not been one single entry to these awards. Therefore, the award part of this site will be suspended until quality fanfic has been submitted. Which is fine with me, as I am much more into watching the new season of Dexter than reading fanfictions about it. After a certain period of time, when the season wraps up and new fics are sent out into the ether, then the awards will re-emerge. But until that time, this sad little awards blog will actually become a review site for current and past episodes.

About the delay in awards announcements…it was delayed. First from lack of votes, but when there were votes to be counted, I, the counter was distracted with trying to cure cancer. Seriously. There has definitely been some response, but there isn’t quite enough votes for a decisive winner in most categories. Please, if you’re reading from this site, vote! That way we can have clear winners and runners up.

The voting deadline has been extended another 10 days, until July 25th, 2008.

“Dexter” on the Short-list for Best Drama.

On Thursday, the top 10 shows in each of the Emmy Categories, Comedy and Drama, were released…and Dexter is one of the 10 which will be narrowed down to 5 nominees for Best Drama. Check out the full list here.

The submissions for this months awards have been posted here. Submissions for this month are open until June 30th, so head to the Submission Details page to find out how to submit your completed story. Any newly submitted stories will be added to the list.

Voting for this month’s submissions will begin July 1st and end July 14th, so check back here during that time to vote. Awards announcements will be made shortly after that.

Submissions for Dexter fics completed in July can be submitted in…well…July.

Anybody who submitted a story to the email before 1:00 p..m. EST on June 12th must resubmit to the email address the.dexterminators@hotmail.com. A typo on the site previously left out the ’s’ in the email address, so no submissions to the address previously posted were received. It was a stupid mistake (worst place to have a typo, eh?) that comes with putting up a new site, but our apologies nonetheless.
